1. How long is the photo shoot?

   Newborn sessions can last anywhere from 1 hour to 3 hours! It all depends on how cooperative your little one decides to be that day. With feedings, diaper changes and the occasional fuss, time tends to go by really fast!

2. When will my photo shoot take place?

   I typically photograph babies the first 9 days of their lives. However, it is possible for your shoot to take place up to 8 weeks post birth. General rule of thumb, the younger the squishier and more mold-able they are to capture those dreamy shots!
   
   If your baby has already reached 2+ weeks, please keep in mind that your photos may embody a more lively baby instead of a sleepy one.  

3. Where will the session take place?
   I offer two types of newborn sessions: Lifestyle and Studio style. Lifestyle portraits can be done on a slightly warmer day where we can bring baby outside for amazing, natural photos. For colder days, or that studio look, I'll bring the session to you! All I require is a well lit area in your home, generally near a window. All you have to do is relax and feed baby every now and then. I will provide all the props required for your shoot, but your more than welcome to bring a special blanket or meaningful item if you wish.

4. How can I prepare for the shoot?

   I love to include mom and dad's hands in your photos. Wear clear or neutral nail polish on the day of your shoot. Distracting jewelry should be removed; your baby should be the focus of the photos.

   Bring a dark-colored shirt to wear in the photos; I may photograph your baby in your arms and solid/dark colors look great in both color and black-and-white prints.

5. I really liked a certain photo I saw online, can we duplicate it?
   Of course! I am an avid pinterester so send those pins, google searches or screen shots my way.
    

6. Can we, the parents, be in our baby's photos?
   I deeply encourage parents to get in some of the shots, not just your hands! Your baby will only be this small for so long, so if your up to it, slap on some make up, drink some coffee and I'll make sure your photos don't make you look like your running on 2 hours of sleep, I promise!
